The tool is designed to access the center port on the GM fuel tank sending unit. For 3/8" and 1/2" applications. This tool works GREAT. I wasted money and time struggling with 4 (four!) other tools in a failed attempt to remove two 1/2" fuel line disconnects on my 2006 Duramax before purchasing this tool.Properly releases all four disconnect tabs to the proper diameter.Probably no coincidence that it looks identical to the tool called out in the GM service manual.
