Working on a project for a customer. Cutting 1500 pieces of 304 stainless 1/2 inch rounds. My saw doesn't have an outfeed clamp, so leaving a nast burr on one end. Spent all day yesterday knocking off the burr with an angle grinder. I just wasn't happy with how every piece was a bit different that way. This deburring tool so far, is working great. Key is use lube, and go slow. Already had to yell at the supervisor he keeps wanting to spin the drill up to max rpm. Treat it like it's supposed to, and I don't see any issues with longevity. As I was searching Amazon for a tool like this, I initially dismissed this particular listing since it says high speed steel, for the inserts. And I was preferring one with carbide cutters. I was pleasantly surprised when my order showed up and the tools packaging clearly says the cutting bits are YG8 tungsten carbide. The tool ran pretty much all day today at work and did what it was supposed to. It even held up to one of my new guys who couldn't seem to line up the stainless rod and the tool, and was afraid to commit and just stick it in. Even still, it cuts like it did out of the package. For the price, I don't expect it to be a life long tool. And honestly as long as it lasts until both ends of 1500pcs. of 1/2inch 304 stainless steel rounds are deburred. I will be happy. So for made it through 3/4 of them and still working fine. When this does eventually wear out, I will definitely buy another one.
