This is an inexpensive version of "the real thing" - and you pretty much get what you pay for. It's not awful, as a first buy, to let someone try it out, and see if they are really interested in learning how to do the tricks, before investing in something sturdier. It doesn't take long for all the screws to loosen up during use, and it needs frequent re-adjusting. And that's made difficult by the fact that the screws are weird, small, non-standard sized things, so even just tightening or replacing them can be a challenge. We returned the first one, after one screw was stripped, or stuck, or something, the first time we even tried to adjust it. My son is still playing with the second one, though, while he saves up for a nicer "tool".The best trainer for the price. When it got here it was a little stiff but after flipping it for a few minutes it loosened up and feels great. Other knives I’ve had came apart after a few minutes or hours of use. I’ve been using this one for a couple weeks already and I’ve had no problemsYou get what you pay for, also a little on the heavy side but still functions properly. If considered purchasing this item definitely is a good one to keep in mind. The knife is good, but when i flip it the screws holding the blade in get loose, which causes the whole thing to not get as sturdy when it is freshly opened, the tool broke with the slightest, and i mean slighting bit of force. I do recommend it for the price but some things can be adjusted.I used to have one of these when I was like 10 I made it out of a folding fan and a Lego helicopter blade, this is way better. How ever, the screws do often come loose, which is a little annoying. This isn’t a bad trainer for the price but the screws keep coming loose. I am going to try adding some loctite to them and see if it helps at all. Other than that, it looks really cool and I have been able to us it to learn some tricks and practice without getting cut.I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loved the butterfly knife and it was overall his favorite he owns out of the bunch that he owns. It’s super sturdy and comes with things to help adjust the knife and make its movements smoother.Movement is very smooth and is great for beginners to learn without the fear of cutting themselves.
