I needed a 4' level for remodeling work at my house and happened to catch this on sale for a great price. The quality is excellent. Flipping it end for end it gives the same reading. The basic frame is aluminum with plastic endcaps, the fill is some type of mahogany. The inner handles are a bit rough but not enough to discount a star. The brand is unfamiliar to me but they look very similar to Starrett levels.
