Ordered this because I liked the long handle so you could safely keep holdiing hand away from knife. Upon first use encountered several issues with the design. It does not allow a full slice through the tomato, opening between slicing guides are too short. Also, the knife would weave between guides (little too wide for blade width) which caused uneven slices. There is not enough support on underside of tomato when placed between holding tongs, so during slicing the tomato squishes down.Ended up having to resort to "old school" method using the knife with one hand and holding onto the tomato with other hand. I was very disappointed and frustrated to the point I just threw it in the trash so I wouldn't have to clean it. It gets a 1 Star just for the long handle.
