Used this to install the lock strip on my 1988 Dodge pickup. I used window cleaner to lubricate the gasket and lock strip and, with a little bit of wiggling and elbow grease, got the strip in pretty easily. Literally took me longer to open the package than to install the wedge piece into the windshield.must have for 50s chevy truck rear windows- it took me before by hand with pics and screw drivers 4 hours to do a rear chevy window before i learned they made a tool- that took 10 minutes. o well. must have, made well enough and worked great!I bought this tool to reinstall the front window locking strip of my 1986 bmw 325i. None of its 4 different fitments where a match. I ended up just using to flat head screw drivers and a can of wd40. Nasty job but I had it over and done with in about an hour. So maybe just save your money and do it that way. It was just really disappointing that it didn't fit my car because I'm literally never gonna use the stupid thing againMade an impossible job fitting the locking strip around a window possible. Though not sure what we'll do with it now as it's a very specific tool for a very specific job.Still, worked very well once we'd figured out how to use it.Very good qualityThis is a genuinely heavy duty tool that made the job much easier than some of the flimsy tools there are around.Not used yet but looks as though it should do the job nicely.
