I have tried 3 brands now, one with rubber pads (don't buy those), and two with leather ends. These for $8 each seem to be great value. The biggest issue with another set was that the center tube spacer that two pivot screws thread into, didn't actually thread, they just friction threaded into a brass tube spacer, but these don't have that issue, they are actually a metal tube spacer with thread that the screws tighten against. For $8, these seem pretty solid!
