I AM OBSESSED!! When my back aches I’m one of those chicks that likes to jam their finger into the ache to make it ache more in order to take my mind if the initial ache. It’s sadistic but it works for me.I have only 1 complaint and 1 complaint only. It doesn’t fee the sturdiest. I’m always worried with how hard I press I’ll snap it in half. I make sure to adjust the knob and tighten it before and after every use to make sure I don’t break but you can still feel it bending when you use it. But maybe it’s because I press hard I don’t know. I do my best to use it against something to offer support and to ease some of the load but it’s not always possible. Other than that tid bit, FANTASTIC PRODUCT.At first it’s a bit wonga (for us 90s babies it means odd or strange) in your hands. The shape takes a bit of getting use to you but once you do. Glory be the pain is gone! Every night I dedicate a solid hour before I lay down to sleep to feel around my body for any sore spots. For minor aches and pains: When I find a tender spot, I jam the little nubby thing(s) into the spot and hold for 15-30 seconds depending on how much it hurts. For knots, tension, or spasm cramps: If I find a lump/ knot/ spasm/ whatever it’s called, you can always tell them apart by how knots make a bit of a thump when the nubby slides over the knot. Tension knots are usually extremely sensitive. Upon touch you can feel if all over. With spasms you can feel a radiating and just move the stick around until you can find the area in which the spasm is located. If you find one of the those, I move my shoulders or wherever it’s located slightly just enough to move it around and/ or loosen it up. Once that hurts a great bit, I add pressure directly to the problem area and press for anywhere between 30s- 1m.For the initial few times you do this you’ll be a bit sore but no different than how much you already hurt; the difference is it’s a different type of ache vs the pain you already had. After of few days you won’t have that residual ache. I’ve noticed I don’t wake up in the middle of the night from aches and pain. I don’t have to take breaks during the day to stretch or rub my back. I’m just overall in a better state than I was before this weird little thing. I’m beyond happy with my purchase. The greatest part is it’s so versatile. I walk on the sides of my feet, needless to say I have a myriad of foot issues. Mainly, pain. Proud to say NOT ANYMORE!!While watching tv or whatever type of down time I have, I usually put one of the loopy sides on the floor and dig my foot in the various spots and move my foot around releasing any tension that I’ve built up.The best thing you can do for yourself is google foot pressure points and learn the different spots and the areas they coincide with. Apply pressure as needed to area in which you need it. One thing that I’ve learned with this technique that I haven’t seen explained is, say your back hurts so you apply pressure pro to your heel thinking your back pain will go away, it won’t. It doesn’t work that way. If your foot problems aren’t the cause of your pain (in my case lower back) you will not get that relief. But because my foot pain is the reason I have lower back issues I find relief in the use of applying pressure.Does that make sense? I hope it does.In your journey for relief do your research. Find pressure point charts. Study them. Experiment with different techniques and areas. Use different areas of the tool to see if they offer different relief compared to other sides. Experiment, research, find the source of your issue and treat it. Make sure to pay extra attention to these areas and I can guarantee you will find relief. I’m not saying you’ll feel like a teenager again but you'll notice you have more energy, you can get more done, you’re not taking as many breaks in utter pain. Things do get better but YOU have to be your best advocate. Give it time and make a habit of using this tool everyday and you’ll see a difference. Be patient and I wish you relief.Physical therapy suggested to get this it works so well I got three one for myself my son and my granddaughterLike that I don't have to rely on other ppl or things to reach these knots in my upper n mid back. This review is for the purple Trigger Point Massager Tool-GOHIKING Neck and Back Massager Handheld, Manual Self Massage Tool. Sold by: WILD DISCOVERY & HUNTING Return eligible for 30 days. Paid $19.99 in June of 2022. I have a metal Theracane that I have used for years and it will probably last forever. I recently misplaced it so I purchased this one to tide me over. It was only 20 bucks so I was not expecting it to be as sturdy as my metal one-piece and it is not. However, I do like the extra knobs on this one and will likely use it more often than the other. It is made of two pieces of hard plastic that slide together and then are held in place with a screw-in knob. I would recommend this and if it lasts a couple of years I would purchase it again.Simple to use.It feels cheap, hollow, does not feel like the real tool I have used before at my friends houseEasy to useI have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hypermobility type) and this is my new favourite device to release trapped nerves & grind into tense, knotted muscles.Woke up today with my suprascapular nerve zapping unhappily, but no joints felt incorrect in the area, so I knew I had popped something out & back in during sleeping, trapping the nerve in the process. Normally it takes a few days until the joint goes out again, or the nerve gets itself free, before the pain ends. I commonly get this particular body zone having issues when brushing my teeth or my hair.Today I used this trigger point massager around the scapula & the trapezius before I went for my shower, and hitting the right spot midway down the scapula edge, the muscle moved & felt like a sausage rolling on the worktop & the nerve pain instantly disappeared. Went for my shower and could feel the joint being unstable, one minute move & it would slide out again.Voltoral gel, a hot water bottle & rested for the day, but I thought I'd share incase anyone else has problems with shoulders (or any other body part) that needs a trigger point massage/manipulation to release muscles.Particularly useful for fellow zebras! ?(obvs refer to your physician for any new treatment/symptoms and having basic anatomy knowledge will help to pinpoint target areas, but it does come with a small information/instruction leaflet)I seem to be full of tightness and trigger points, and have mostly tried to get by with just a foam roller and tennis ball up until now.I bought this mainly to help loosen up my rotator cuff, but have found myself using it almost everywhere – triceps, biceps, calves, forearms... you name it! I've always struggled to release my chest in the past, but this works perfectly for that. The more pointy bits are especially useful when it comes to chest & forearms etc.I now only really use my foam roller for my back, quats and IT band... and doubt I'll ever need to bother using a tennis ball againEasy to use. Click together and away you go. Plastic is solid would definitely tell people to buy one. Cheap enough to buy to find out if you like it or not. But I love mine.Overall durable and accurate in description. Could have been smaller like 15-20cm less length
