We first used this tool 2 days ago and the first 2 risers we split trying to shove the small tip into the riser to get a bite. It does not bite easily! You have to be VERY careful and only put the tip until it grips the riser or it will split it!I found that the handle is too short for getting to some of my inserts. Without enlarging the upper hole it is impossible use.When I was able to use it, it worked as advertised and pulled the insert out quickly.I bought this in the hopes of using it to remove a jetski cable retaining nut that had broken in the stern of the ski. The sleeved knut was plastic and the head had broken leaving the threaded sleeve in the alloy transom. Unfortunately this tool could not get a good enough bite to loosen the plastic sleeve. I think this would have worked in most instances, but not on my 15 year old corroded jetski. I think this tool will come in handy and will be added to my set of easy-outs. Good tool!If you’re using this to extract sprinkler pvc that’s wedged it, this did not grip it well enough to be useful.helpful tool.This little gadget saves a plumber bill every time our dog breaks a sprinkler head.Great quality!
