I have pulled out 4 fuel pumps over my DIY life. Each time I had to use a hammer and some kind of non-sparking assortment of tools. Then after the work, you have to use them to re-tighten, never knowing if it was tight or just bent up to where you can't tell. This tool is great. I bought a guaranteed to fit fuel pump and got this after watching several vid's of guys hammering away, chipping their cars, rings, and then re-installing with more chips and dings. The tool easily spun the 18 year old original Toyota Corolla retainer ring off like it was new. And then the NEW fuel pump failed to work. So I had to repeat this 3 more times (testing the old to verify wiring, then the dead, then the NEWER new.) NO scratches, chips, and did it in the rain. No problems. I've seen the 3-way and 2-way spanners, but I have to tell you, this tool rocks. Even pressure all around, spun nice, and one handed - allowing me to move wires and the 2 tubes. Great tool! Only issue: Need to find a way to store it with the arms for the next pump.
