Description
Harmony's Wacky Tool allows you to quickly and effortlessly install Wacky Rings on your worms/senkos to fish both Wacky Style and the Neko Rig. Wacky rigged worms/senkos are an incredibly effective way to catch largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass for both beginners and experts, and Harmony's Wacky Tool (O-Ring Tool / Senko Tool) makes it easier than ever to get into fishing Wacky Style. The Wacky Tool's ½ inch inside diameter is compatible with senko / soft stick-bait worms up to 6”, including the Yamamoto Senko, Yum Dinger, Strike King Ocho, Z-Man ZinkerZ, and more. As well as all other style worms (finesse, ribbon tail, etc) with a thickness less than ½ inch. The Harmony Pro-Grade Wacky Tool is constructed of 100% Aluminum & Stainless Steel. No cheap lanyard clips that start to rust after your first day on the water. The removable o-ring retainer screw unscrews unlike other tools to allow you to quickly add more Wacky Rings, or for installing Wacky Skirts on your bait.Using a Wacky Ring on your soft plastic worm allows you to fish the same lure all day without the bait tearing after each bite or after casting under a dock or into thick cover. Wacky Rings light weight allows your lure to fall slowly and naturally. Since most bites come on the fall, this is critical.Includes 10 Wacky Rings for 4&5" senkos (Wacky Tool is available with black o-rings or green pumpkin o-rings). Senko worms (also called soft plastic stick baits) have taken over fishing by storm in recent years. Such a simple bait can subtly imitate bass forage and produce both quantity and quality catches. The latest craze in senko fishing is the wacky rig - hooking the senko through the middle which brings a new action to the lure. Every movement and lift of the rod produces a twitch and fall in the senko that is irresistible to bass, which often strike after the twitch action and during the period in which the lure is making its fall back downward. Anglers initially grew frustrated fishing the wacky rig, as each catch typically tore the senko, rendering it lost or unusable after each fish or hangup. Wacky Rings and the Wacky Tool have solved that problem. By hooking through a resilient o-ring instead of the lure itself, a single senko worm can be fished all day without the fear of tearing the lure or losing it to a snag under a dock or in a brush pile. Simply insert the bait into the tool, roll the o-ring onto the bait, add a hook, and you're ready to fish the wacky rig with a longer lasting senko/stickbait. Harmony's Pro-Grade Wacky Tool and Wacky Rings often pay for themselves on the first day out fishing with them. Bring one pack of worms down to the water instead of several. Wacky rigged senkos using a Wacky Ring can be fearlessly skipped under docks and other snaggy areas with confidence. Wacky Rings are made of a super resilient rubber compound and outperform the flimsier silicone/hardware-store o-rings that are often sold by other brands. The Harmony Pro-Grade Wacky Tool has a 1/2” inside diameter to accommodate up to 6-8” senkos (depending on brand/thickness) and any soft stickbait/soft plastic with similar diameter. The removable stainless steel Wacky Ring Retainer Screw can be quickly unscrewed to use the tool with Wacky Skirts and other rigging accessories that require removal of this part. Contains one (1) Harmony Pro-Grade Wacky Tool with ten (10) Wacky Rings for 4&5” senko worms. Wacky Rings are Stronger! Harmony's proprietary rubber compound is over 3x stronger than silicone hardware store o-rings that other brands sell. Each individual Wacky Ring outlasts several o-rings from other brands. Compatible With Wacky Skirts! Harmony's Pro-Grade Wacky Tool has a removable o-ring retainer screw, which enables the Harmony Wacky Tool to be compatible with Wacky Skirts, unlike other O-Ring Installation Tools. How to Wacky Rig Insert the senko/worm into the open end of the Wacky ToolSlide one Wacky Ring from the screw-end of the Wacky Tool toward the open end.Slide the Wacky Ring off the Wacky Tool and onto the center of the senko/worm.Slip your hook between the Wacky Ring and the worm. If I were to compose a top 10 list of the fishing industry's most cost-effective and cost-saving products, the O-Ring tool would certainly be placed within the top 3. With an average cost of $8 for a 10 pack of Senkos, a long day can inevitably end up costing some fishermen $16 depending on the amount of action they have on their line. I have personally had days such as these where 2 packs of Senkos was depleted within a single 8-10 hour day on the lake. The problem has always been the damaging tears caused by inserting a hook, which essentially leaves you with half the amount of rubber for the hook to hold onto. After purchasing the O-Ring tool I would guesstimate that my average Senko count for an 8 hour day dropped from 12 to 4, which equals out to be a (roughly estimated) cost savings of $12 per trip. The highest number of bass I have caught on single O-Ring Senko is 6. I also use this took to rig other soft plastics as well (see picture). The only con is oxidization caused by salt water. As you can see in the pictures, rust has become very apparent on the rear screw. After a week of sitting in my tackle box I am no longer able to hand-tighten/loosen this screw due to the adhesion of corrosion between the threads and the tool itself. I need to use a pair of pliers to break it free. $0.50 for a new screw from the local hardware store and it will back in smooth working order.
