If you're just getting into leather work and want to save some money, you probably could do better. The widest punch has a hard time going through leather, maybe its my hammer or my technique or heck maybe even just physics (dispersing energy over a larger surface area) but the two prong works well scary well honestly it digs through the leather and into my poly cutting board. Maybe the next widest will work better. I will try to update with that later on. But for now I'd honestly recommend looking for a leather craft store and getting their advice. Tandy is a good store and its the one I go to, but there are others and there are even blogs and youtube channels dedicated to this stuff and its a great relaxing and productive hobby to get into so get good tools.Small....These are quality stitching chisels however when I got them I realize they were too small for my leather project. These are 3mm size. There was no mentioned of size in the description. So I'm writing this review so others will know what sizes they are. So unfortunately I have to return since I needed bigger stitching chisels.This product was great. Came exactly as described and has been suitable for my needs. I would recommend.They work well, came sharp and ready to useI have enjoyed these much more that I thought I would. I have found they slide in and out of the leather easier if you push them into some beeswax periodically when you are punching your stitchlines.Thought I was getting Craftool type design stitching punch set. Set was a lot cheaper but also of much lower quality. There appears to be no standard in these tools. Craftool 4mm punch is a punch with a 4mm space between the prongs. The set I got is 4mm center to center on the prongs. So the Craftool makes 5 stitching holes per inch while the one I got makes 5 holds per every 5/8th of an inch. A leather worker pro might know this but as a beginner I did not realize that various manufactures use different measurement standards. Will keep them for future work but really was disappointed when I unpacked them. Beware !!! Used them tonight. They are rough cut and grab the leather when you punch stitching holes. Almost impossible to pull back out. Horrible. How about a minus 5 star rating. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE.Excellent addition for leather working. Items arrived quickly and are as described. Very sturdy and the prongs are evenly spaced! Love the addition of the wooden tool in this set.
