These calipers are decently made for being plastic, which is why I chose them because metal ones might damage the objects I need to measure.. However, they are pretty inaccurate on my testing and I promptly returned them. US nickel specs are 21.21mm (which I verified with my nicer metal calipers). This set reads 21.0 mm. US half dollar is 30.6mm and these calipers read 0.3 mm too small. So avoid if you need better accuracy.
