I bought three of these for $2.80 each, leading to 18 pieces total and 6 of each grit type. Cheaper than buying the actual pack of 18 itself! The intent was to use these for woodwork and metal sanding or potentially some griding/smoothing of metal depending on how they turned out, due to the power a good multi-tool can have to offer versus any material with the right attachment.Once recieved, I opened up the packaging and was immediately impressed by the quality of these pads versus previous ones I'd tried. They looked, felt and then performed like something I'd shelled out far more on. These pads are tough and whilst the combo could possibly leave some different grits desired, there's enough variation if your tool has variable speed and strength without physically pushing it, can be applied with ease using the tips or corners of these pads via any multitool due to their nature. I combined this with the Dremel MM14 hook and loop pad; this is already one of the most convienient ways to attach paper to your tool and can be done very quickly to switch to a new pad or varying grit.Despite the "wood" label, I find these pads are suitable for nearly any application and are far from limited to wood only (metal also said on the packet) and the quality allows them to last longer and be reused many a time compared to others I've used. Using a 60 grit pad, this can grind down metal and do it surprisingly quickly with little wear to the pad, I was shocked since the opposite was experience with other branded variants. It was also used to quickly and easily strip paint from metal, this was easily achieved and I can imagine limitless types of use on any material essentially besides more obvious tougher ones that these would be wasted on (other pads such as the diamond paper are aimed for such tasks as mortar, grout and similar for quicker, more efficient work and longer lasting pads as a result). For the low, low price of a set of these pads, it's my strong belief you simply can't go wrong if you have a hook and loop pad for your multitool. These combine good quality, great value and used correctly, will outlast many others. They've done more work than my similar aluminium oxide pads yet aren't utterly worn down. These well exceeded my expectations of them. Hugely recommended if you sand at all and have an oscillating multitool + velcro hook and loop pad Dremel MM11 at a guess and the newer MM14 I'm using with an adapter seem to work best. Very secure and easy to place or remove such. I recommend these pads with ease if the grits suit you, extremely highly. I'm not going to hesitate in buying 6+ packs for a total of 36+ pads with my next purchase on Amazon, I nowhere near require them as of yet with the current ones barely worn but the price makes it a no-brainer to stock up on these! Amazing value for great quality.
