Everyone raves about bloc lock rules but I don’t do enough geese of one size to justify a ruler that only works for one thing. This is a perfect solution. Works perfectly, more economical, less to store than a bunch of individual rulers… I’m a huge fan. My quality increased after first usage!Wow!! you get 4 Flying Geese and hardly any waste of fabric! Nice!Squaring up large flying geese.Helps in making perfect Flying GeeseI like the idea of the ruler, and it is simple to use with the clear directions. Why I'm not that enthusiastic, lowered my rating, and I may not use it as often as I hoped: the ruler slips and frequently gives inaccurate cuts because it slips - especially on the final cut. I tried those non-slip disks on the back and they weren't that helpful. I am an older woman who has less hand, arm strength than a younger user. I use, love the Quilter's Select rulers because the entire ruler backs are tacky, and don't slip especially when cutting on multiple seams....wish this ruler had that kind of material on it's back.I was amazed how someone designed this tool to make flying geese units more uniform. It took me a little time to make sure I understood how to use and found the video link helpful to watch. It worked extremely well once I understood. Great tool and I will definitely use again! I consider myself an advanced beginner in quilting. This tool worked like a dream. I toyed with buying a Bloc-Loc for trimming my flying geese, but the price was so high and requires one ruler for each size of flying geese. I decided to go with this one instead, and it works amazingly well! I have previously avoided making flying geese if possible because I hate trimming them - never quite get that 1/4" at the point just right and end up with blunted points or "dead space" between units. With this tool, my units came out perfectly. Instructions are clear, diagrams are very helpful - even shows best practices for left-handed trimming. I am working on a quilt right now that uses 36 flying geese units, and I thought this would be the best way to go. Only problem I had was that it worked so well that I ended up with twice as many units as I need. Really needed to pay closer attention to the fact that with this tool you end up with 4 units, not 2. That's what I get for starting this late at night and not reading all the directions thoroughly! So, now I have a head start on my next quilt, and no more avoiding flying geese! The best method for making multiple flying geese for quilt blocks. Good instructions, thin lines for accuracy. What quilter does not want perfect points everytime? with this you can if you are a confident in cutting accurately and sewing a good seam.Delighted with the productI have always avoided flying geese blocks. This ruler is such a game changer for me. Highly recommended!Faire des flying geaseExcellent produit
