I am a geologist so I needed a chisel that can stand up to repeated hard use. This chisel qualifies. This chisel chews through rock and, if you were to look at the tip, would never know that it was used. The tool steel striking end will show slight mushrooming when used intensely and repeatedly. Follow instructions and file the mushroom crown down. Other cold chisels are annoying but much cheaper. You don't have to constantly sharpen this tip. If you chisel hard rock repeatedly, you need this chisel.
